The 5th China (Chengdu) International General Aviation Development Summit Forum and Presentation on General Aviation of Sichuan to be Held in Chengdu in September

In recent years, China has accelerated the pilot work of low-altitude airspace management and general aviation development and reform. 26 cities including Beijing, Shenzhen, and Chengdu have been selected as the first batch of comprehensive demonstration areas for the general aviation industry, shouldering the glorious mission and great responsibility of providing the experience for the exploration of China's the low-altitude airspace. In June this year, Sichuan Province formally established Low-altitude Airspace Coordination Management Committee, which consists of more than 20 units including the Western Theater Command Air Force Headquarters, CAAC Southwest Regional Administration, and Military-Civil Fusion Development Office of Sichuan Provincial Committee, forming a situation of multiple parties working together. The accelerated construction of the Low-altitude Airspace Coordination Operation Center is expected to be put into trial operation before the end of September. At the same time, Sichuan is actively exploring a new model of airspace dynamic management, maximizing the release of airspace resources, and striving to launch a safe debut under the new mechanism before the end of the year.

 As the pilot reform of the national low-altitude airspace coordination management is fully implemented in Sichuan, in order to further promote the development of the general aviation industry in the province, the 5th China (Chengdu) International General Aviation Development Summit Forum and Presentation on General Aviation of Sichuan will be one of the special events of WCIF held in Chengdu in September this year. The forum is co-hosted by Sichuan Provincial People's Government and Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, and jointly organized by Sichuan Provincial Economic and Information Commission, Sichuan Bureau of Expo Affairs, the Sichuan Provincial Investment Promotion Bureau, National Defence Science and Technology Office of Sichuan Province, Chengdu Municipal People's Government, and General Aviation Branch of Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics. By then, with the theme of Opportunities and Challenges of General Aviation under the Reform of Low-altitude Airspace in the New Era, more than 400 relevant industry leaders, experts, scholars, and entrepreneurs will gather in Chengdu to discuss multiple aspects of the industry including R&D, design, manufacturing, and operation, and promote the development of the whole industry chain of the general aviation industry in Sichuan.
