Recently, 2021 Nanchong City “Open Year” Automobile and Auto Parts Industry Investment Promotion Conference & Project Cooperation Agreement Signing Ceremony was held in Chengdu. At the conference, 24 automobile and auto parts industry investment projects were signed, with a total investment of CNY 17.52 billion. Over the past month, Nanchong has convened three investment promotion conferences respectively in Shenzhen, Hangzhou, and Chengdu. Centering on Nanchong City’s “5 5” key industrial system and focusing on listed companies and well-known enterprises of the “Top 500 of Three Kinds” (namely, the World Top 500, Top 500 Chinese Enterprises, and Top 500 Privately-run Enterprises), the three conferences helped Nanchong sign a lot of projects including China Communication Technology Co., Ltd. (CCT Group), Shanghai SenseTime, and Suzhou Boamax Technologies, etc., with a total investment of CNY 47.709 billion. 

 

Centering on “5 5”, Nanchong City strives to bring in large and strong enterprises. “Geely CV Nanchong Base Phase II will go into operation in June, and it will become a benchmark project for Nanchong 100-Billion-Yuan Industrial Clusters”, Lin Xiaohu, vice president of Zhejiang Geely New Energy Commercial Vehicles Group, said at the Automobile and Auto Parts Industry Promotion Conference in Chengdu, adding that after being fully put into production, Geely Phase II Project will realize annual output value of CNY 30.2 billion. Five years ago, Nanchong put forward the “5 5” industrial system that consists of “Five Major 100-Billion-Yuan Industrial Clusters” (including automobile & auto parts, oil & gas and chemical, silk textile & clothing, modern logistics, and modern agriculture) and “Five Major 10-Billion-Yuan Emerging Industrial Clusters” (including electronic information, new materials, high-end equipment manufacturing, biomedicine, and energy conservation & environmental protection). Herein, the automobile and auto parts industry realized output value of CNY 90.4 billion last year. This year, Nanchong automobile and auto parts industry is expected to realize output value of more than CNY 100 billion, and it will embrace more development opportunities in the wake of Nanchong City’s success in signing contract with enterprises including Geely and Shanghai SenseTime. Located in Gaoping District of Nanchong Linjiang New Area, Nanchong Transfar Highway Port is the first project that was invested by Transfar Zhilian Co., Ltd. in domestic cities of identical kind. Yu Shunhong, general manager of Transfar Zhilian Co., Ltd. (Southwest Region), noted that Nanchong Modern Logistics Park, whereby Transfar Highway Port develops its business, is one of the eight subregional logistics centers of Sichuan Province according to the Plan of Sichuan Province for Construction of Western Logistics Center. After being fully completed in 2025, the logistics park is expected to handle 40 million tons of cargo per year, realize trading value of CNY 100 billion, and create 80,000 job opportunities. It is worth pointing out that Nanchong has signed contracts with respect to “Strategic emerging industries”, for example, Peng’an County brought in Hangzhou Region to build smart optoelectronic equipment project, and Shunqing District introduced CNY 800 million of scheduled investment to build the smart park featuring systematic industrial ecosphere, network-based infrastructure, accurate functional service, and intelligent operation and development. Enterprises that have settled in Nanchong quicken the pace to go into operation: when you walk across a glass door and stay there for only 2s, the monitor will display the human image, and prohibited articles such as metal, ceramics, powder, and liquid will be clearly marked with circles of different colors-this is “Futuristic Tech” (namely, Terahertz Security Gate) that is showcased in CCT Group Sky Valley · Nanchong Intelligent Information Industrial Park Exhibition Hall. According to head of Nanchong Project of CCT Group (the Company for short), this product has been applied at VIP passages of Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport and Tianfu International Airport. 

 

At the beginning of this year, construction of the Company’s Phase I Factory was completed so that the Company signed a lot of orders. So far, the Company’s total order value has exceeded CNY 50 million and the entire Nanchong Project has put into running one production line, with the remaining 3 production lines being built at an accelerated pace. “Equipment purchase has been put in place, and some production lines will go into operation at the end of this year when we will realize production of complete set of products in Nanchong”. On June 7th, optoelectronic production line was running at a high speed in CCT Group’s workshop, and products were rolling off the production line one after another and would be sold all over the country. Up to now, the Company’s competitive products, including IoT chip, wearable devices, satellite high-frequency terminal, terahertz security detection equipment, and Big Data ancillary equipment, have become benchmarks in the industry. According to Ding Qing, Chief Scientist of China Enterprise Services (Shenzhen Group) and Director of Sichuan CCT Group, the Company will realize production of its frontier products in Nanchong little by little.
